Privacy/Confidentiality
Your privacy is a top priority for me. I understand that confidentiality and protecting your privacy is necessary for you to feel comfortable and trust therapy.
I am professionally, legally, and ethically bound to maintain your privacy and confidentiality.
I will not acknowledge or disclose to any outside parties that you are currently or have been in therapy, unless you authorize me to do so in writing.
I personally handle all phone and email communication; no one else will handle any communication for my practice.
Limits to Confidentiality
If there is clear risk/intention that the client may be in danger of self-harm or intends to harm another person.
Suspicion of: child abuse, elder abuse, or abuse of a disabled person.
Legal subpoena of therapy records
In a medical emergency and the client would require immediate medical attention
